ANNA DOLAN

Anna’s career in the safety industry began by being appointed as a City Council Event Manager, a position held for six years. Whilst in this role, Anna organised and supported safety across a large events programme including music concerts, arts events, carnivals and air shows with an estimated annual audience in excess of 400,000 people.

Following on from her role as Event Manager, Anna moved to work for Capita Symonds as a Health and Safety consultant and worked on a wide variety of high profile events both in the UK and abroad. This has included preparing full sets of health and safety documentation as well as being involved from inception to completion and provided a practical and pragmatic on site support for numerous projects abroad including the F1, Land Speed Record attempt in Mojave, California, IBM (India) Conference in Bangalore, India.

In the early part on 2007, Anna set up her own Event Safety Consultancy.

Since the inauguration of AD Health and Safety, Anna has continued to be involved with providing health and safety advice, documentation and on site support to organisers of events including outdoor concerts, festivals and corporate events. In addition to significant practical experience Anna has NEBOSH qualifications, is trained to SIA Door Supervisor level, is a trained Designated Premises Supervisor and has been trained in Crowd Dynamics.

MATT STONE

Matt is a very experienced Safety Advisor and has worked on a diverse programme of challenging and iconic projects and events across the United Kingdom. In  2011 Matt was the safety officer for the live site in Hyde Park for the Royal Wedding. He has eight years Territorial Army Service with the Royal Engineers, seventeen years experience as a police officer within the Public Order and Event Planning Department within the Metropolitan Police gaining significant expertise in occupational health and safety, event safety, event management and operations and crowd dynamics. Matt has worked on most major events held within Central London both as a practitioner and manager including Military, Ceremonial and other events of national importance.

Matt has been involved with providing pragmatic health and safety advice and support to organisers of concerts, festivals, on street sporting events, corporate events, and parades. Since joining the private sector Matt supports the event industry regularly delivering presentations at seminars and writing topical articles and now lectures for the Institute of Licensing. In addition to his significant experience Matt has NVQ and IOSH safety qualifications, Lantra traffic management qualifications, is a trained and licensed Door Supervisor and has been trained in Crowd Dynamics and crowd safety management.  Matt has recently been seconded by the HSE to one of the chapter working groups for the new Event Safety Guide (HSG 195) and has is currently in negotiation with LOCOG over numerous Olympic projects.
